Pilgrims enter the state of Ihram, declare their intention for Hajj, and travel to the tent city of Mina. The day is spent in prayer, reflection, and preparation for the days ahead.
The most important day of Hajj. Pilgrims travel to the plains of Arafah for intense prayer and supplication. After sunset, they move to Muzdalifah.
The day of Eid al-Adha. Pilgrims return to Mina to perform the first stoning, animal sacrifice, and shaving/trimming of hair.
Pilgrims proceed to Makkah to perform the obligatory Tawaf of Hajj and Sa'i between Safa and Marwah.
Pilgrims stay in Mina and perform the stoning of all three Jamarat (pillars) on each day.
Before departing Makkah, pilgrims perform the Farewell Tawaf around the Kaaba, marking the completion of their Hajj journey.
